The Walcott City Council Meeting was held May 2, 2022 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Vining and council members Brown, Rhodenbaugh, Janowicz, and Oestreich. April minutes were read and approved by Brown, 2nd by Rhodenbaugh. All approved, motion carried. City is currently on the list to get roads graded, possibly be the end of the week. Vining placed the loader back on the tractor to start filling potholes. It was discovered that multiple sump pumps were still being emptied into the sewer system. Vining will discuss with these residents. Sump pumps should not be emptying into the sewer system. Brakke house has sold, and new resident moves in June 1. Brewzers is looking at the possibility of changing their gaming setup. The new gaming organization needs to complete the proper paperwork and submit to the city for approval before proceeding. Cleanup day is still scheduled for May 21-22. Ferguson should start sending resident letters by the end of May. There is currently a shortage of roll-off dumpsters, therefore the cleanup of Anderson house is still on hold. Next Meeting May 2nd, 2022. Brown motioned to adjourn, Oestreich 2nd. All Approved, motion carried.
