Council Meeting - 6/1/2020

​The Walcott City Council Meeting was held June 1, 2020 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Vining and council members Bennes, Brown, Rhodenbaugh, and Oestreich. Also in attendance was Jolene Harty.
May Minutes were read and approved by Rhodenbaugh, 2nd by Oestreich. All approved, motion carried.
Jolene approached the board with an inquiry to have chickens in city limits. Required papers will be emailed and completed for board approval. Bennes motioned to approve the request, pending signatures from neighbors, 2nd by Rhodenbaugh. All approved, motion carried.
A letter was mailed to all city residents providing details about Clean-up Week June 6-7th.
Gravel & road treatment will be completed soon. KND Roads will again be grading streets in town.
Discussion was held regarding various projects regarding ditches and culverts. Vining will collect bids on the projects.
County will be fixing the 4th street culvert at their cost. Until repairs are made, a road block will remain in place.
Vining will get a quote for putting a different style of tires on the tractor for snow removal.
A building permit was issued to Kayla Moen for moving in a home on the northside of town.
There is currently no update regarding the purchase of church property.
Water bills were discussed.
