Council Meeting - 7/1/19

​The Walcott City Council Meeting was held July 1, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Vining, council members Bennes, Rhodenbaugh, and Oestreich. Also in attendance were Arnold Jordheim, Sue Farsdale, and Paul Moyer.
June Minutes were read and approved by Rhodenbaugh, 2nd by Bennes. All approved, motion carried.
Sue Farsdale inquired about which roads are being graveled this summer. Discussion was held regarding excessive personal belongings in a neighbor’s yard and the updating process of the City website.
New mosquito sprayer was purchased in June. Old sprayer will be open to purchase via bids – notices will be posted around town.
Roads are being graveled, dust control will be added, and roads should be graded soon. The lagoon has been drained.
Brewzers has requested a one-day offsite permit to sell beer-only outside in the City Park on July 13th. Brewzers is responsible for security and clean-up. Oestreich motioned to approve the permit request, 2nd by Rhodenbaugh. All approved, motion carried.
Walcott Church has agreed to sell the requested property and will develop a purchase price at the upcoming meeting.
Paul Moyer inquired about purchasing the alley near his property. Discussion was held. The Council agreed to research the possibility and decide at a later meeting.
Water bills were discussed.

Rhodenbaugh motioned to adjourn, Bennes 2nd. All Approved, motion carried.
