Council Meeting - 12/2/19

​The Walcott City Council Meeting was held December2, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Vining and council members Bennes, Brown, and Rhodenbaugh. Also in attendance was Arnold Jordheim.
November Minutes were read and approved by Rhodenbaugh, 2nd by Brown. All approved, motion carried.
Bids for new Lift Station will open after January 1, 2020.
A new city announcement board has been purchased and will be installed this Spring after the ground thaws.
Brian Boyle will be assisting with backup snow removal this winter. Vining suggested snow removal rate increase from $12/hour to $15/hour. Rhodenbaugh motioned, Bennes 2nd. All approved, motion carried.
Council discussed the reinvestment of the City Certificate of Deposits. Bennes Motioned to reinvest the CDs for 2020, Rhodenbaugh 2nd. All approved, motion carried.
Council discussed the renewal of Brewzer’s liquor license for 2020. Rhodenbaugh motioned to accept the renewal of Brewzer’s liquor/beer license for 2020 with an $800 fee, Bennes 2nd. All approved, motion carried.
Discussion was held regarding storage of city files in the Fire Hall and adding internet for city office use. Vining will discuss with the Fire Department Chief.
Water bills were discussed.

Rhodenbaugh motioned to adjourn, Brown 2nd. All Approved, motion carried.
