Council Meeting - 1/8/2024

The Walcott City Council Meeting was held January 8th, 2024 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.

In attendance were Mayor Vining and council members Brown, Rhodenbough, Janowicz and Oestreich.

December minutes and financials were read and approved by Rhodenbough, 2nd by Janowicz. All approved, carried.

Sewer line repair was done on the westside of town. All manholes covers were pulled and inspected, everything looked good.

Vining reported that the tractor is ready for winter.

Discussions have been held with the city attorney regarding the park board review. Further information will be provided to the attorney to determine future action.

Garbage cans will be replaced by Waste Management in the upcoming weeks, with the goal to have them all replaced by February 1st. All residents will have new garbage and recycling cans. Please see the letter sent with the January water bill.

Vining will review the list of buildings currently covered by insurance to determine if there are any changes needed.
