Council Meeting - 8/5/19

​The Walcott City Council Meeting was held August 5, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Vining, council members Bennes, Brown, and Oestreich. Also in attendance were Arnold Jordheim, and Brian Bergantine with AE2S.
July Minutes were read and approved by Bennes, 2nd by Brown. All approved, motion carried.
Brian with AE2S discussed bids received for the upcoming New Master Lift Station project. Discussion was held. Motion made by Oestreich to reject all bids and allow bids to open again this fall. 2nd by Brown. All approved, motion carried.
Vining discussed a bid received from Glacier Enterprises for $2,650 for ditch cleaning along 5th street. Oestreich motioned to approve the bid, 2nd by Bennes. All approved, motion carried.
Discussion held regarding a conditional use permit for new resident Gerhardson. Bennes motioned to have the conditional use permit created, 2nd by Brown. All approved, motion carried.
Discussion held regarding an information board to be set up by the water drop box. Bennes motioned to proceed with placing the information board. 2nd by Oestreich. All approved, motion carried.
Discussion was held regarding activity of the current park board committee. Vining will have further discussion with current Park Board members to determine next steps.
With upcoming lift station project, sewer line location needs to be determined on church property. Oestreich motioned to allow Glacier Enterprises to dig and locate where the sewer line is on the property. 2nd by Bennes. All approved, motion carried.
Water bills were discussed.
