Council Meeting - 11/2/2020

​The Walcott City Council Meeting was held November 2, 2020 at 7:30 pm via Zoom, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as posted on the Fire Hall door.
In attendance were Mayor Vining and council members Bennes, Brown, and Rhodenbaugh. Also in attendance was Chase Julson with AE2S.
October Minutes were read and approved by Rhodenbaugh, 2nd by Brown. All approved, motion carried.
Chase with AE2S discussed the Intended Use Plan paperwork that will be completed by AE2S by the beginning of December. Chase also updated the council on the progress of CC Steel’s final punch list, needed to wrap up the New Master Lift Station project.
PPE #2 was presented to the council by Chase. Rhodenbaugh motioned to approve the PPE #2 payment, contingent upon completion of the punch list, 2nd by Bennes. All approved, motion carried.
Resolution 1-2020 was read, increasing the monthly user sewer fee to $34/month to cover the New Master Lift Station Project loan payment as well as the existing operation costs. Rhodenbaugh motioned to accept the resolution as read, 2nd by Bennes. All approved, motion carried.
City equipment was brought to RDO for regular servicing and maintenance.
All residents will receive a letter and new water payment slips in December. These slips will include the new monthly sewer and garbage fees and will be effective with the utility payment due January 1, 2021.
Water bills were discussed.
