The Walcott City Council Meeting was held January 6, 2020 at 7:30 pm at the Walcott Fire Hall.
In attendance were Mayor Vining and council members Bennes, Brown, and Oestreich. Also in attendance were Brian Bergantine and Chase Julson with AE2S.
December Minutes were read and approved by Bennes, 2nd by Brown. All approved, motion carried.
Chase and Brian discussed the bid process for the New Master Lift Station. Oestreich motioned to have advertising of bids begin January 12th, with bids to officially open on February 5th, Bennes 2nd. All approved, motion carried.
Vining will contact current water monitoring employees about future water monitoring duties.
City snow removal continues on city-monitored roads. With the volume of snow already received, future snow instances will make snow removal more difficult and may require additional hired help.
Discussion was held regarding the purchase of land from Walcott Lutheran Church. Further discussion will be held after the next church meeting.
Council discussed designation of depositories of public funds. Bennes motioned to continue using Elm River Credit Union, Brown 2nd. All approved, motion carried.
Elections – up for election is Vining, Oestreich, & Brown. Deadline is April 6.
Recycling schedule will be added to website and hung in post office.
Water bills were discussed.
